I never imagined when I joined Wendell and Wild as Matte Painting Supervisor that I would soon be stepping into the role of VFX Supervisor in the insane months wrapping up production. The visual effects on over 1300 shots were done, or reimagined entirely in the last 6 months of production and we had artists working remotely all over the globe to help bring Henry's vision to life. All the work has paid off and this film is spectacular. There is something simply magical and refreshing to work on such a handcrafted film with such amazing stop motion artists. Working on this film felt like what I dreamed working on movies would be when I was young. I have such immense respect for all the animators, fabricators, artists and vendors we worked with. I am grateful I got to work on Henry Selick's film, grateful for the opportunity I had as VFX Sup and artist and grateful to have worked with such a talented team. I couldn't be more proud to share this trailer and I hope you can't wait to see it on Netflix Oct. 28th.

After all the months of zoom meetings with Henry and the crew, we finally got to meet in person after the premiere of Wendell & Wild. This project is one I'll never forget, and it was amazing to see it all put together! Remote working is great, but getting to appreciate the team in person is fantastic.

I had another amazing summer getting to work on #disneysencanto. This time I worked from my home in Clarksville, TN with all the work from home chaos. This movie is so moving and amazing, but even more beautiful on the big screen. If you have a chance, you have to see all the details in the theater that the look development put into the film, like the embroidery on Mirabels outfit, or even the hairs on the back of Luisa's neck.
I'm so proud to have contributed to the set extension of this film and to join the insanely talented set extension team. When you watch the film, look out for some of those stormy overcast background skies. They originated as photos from my back deck before a Tennessee rain storm. #mattepainting #setextension #encanto
